Taxi Dobrinj

Dobrinj is located in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County on the northeastern part of the island of Krk. The place is located on a hill about 200 meters above the bay of Soline. The municipality of Dobrinj includes three cadastral municipalities: Dobrinj, Soline and Sužan, with 20 settlements, on an area of 55 km2. In relief, this area can be divided into a low zone (mainly around the bay of Soline) and a high zone (Dobrinj, Kras, Gabonjin …). The municipality of Dobrinj includes a large part of the eastern coast of the island of Krk, facing Crikvenica and Vinodol on the mainland, and with which it has always been closely connected. The coast is indented, but apart from reefs and cliffs, there is only one islet – Školjić Veli. On the coast, the shallow bay of Soline stands out, almost lake-like, with low shores on which three settlements are located: Klimno, Soline and Čižići. Other, much smaller bays are: Stipanja, where the largest municipal settlement is Šilo, Petrina, Veterna, Murvenica, Jazbina, Lončarica and Slivanjska.

In the area of the municipality there are several sites from Roman times, mainly on the shores of the bay Soline and in the area of Gostinjac, and it is assumed that the salt pans in the area of Melina existed at that time. Recently, research has been carried out in Sveti Petar Bay on the northwest side of Soline Bay, in which area the remains of Roman pottery have been found.

One of the resources of that bay is the healing mud on the Melina site. The Sulinj peninsula, which closes the Soline bay, is mentioned as probably the first golf course on the island of Krk. An important prerequisite for tourism, good transport links, is existing: the municipality is about 20 minutes by car from any tourist center on the island and from the Krk Bridge that connects the island with the mainland. Rijeka Airport is also located in the neighboring municipality of Omišalj.

Although it has significant tourist resources, preserved environment and rich cultural and historical heritage, the municipality of Dobrinj does not have a developed tourist offer. The most important tourist destination is the town of Silo, where the seat of the local tourist board is located. The only accommodation capacities are in apartments and rooms for rent, which, except in Šilo, are mostly in Čižići, Soline and Klimno. In recent years, the demand for houses renovated in the coastal style, in the interior of the island.
