Taxi Punat
The municipality of Punat has only two settlements: Punat and Stara Baška. The municipality borders the City of Krk in the west, the municipality of Vrbnik in the north, and the municipality of Baška in the east.
The town of Punat is located on the east coast of Puntarska draga, more than three kilometers long and almost two kilometers wide, on a narrow terrain by the sea. Immediately above the settlement is the highest mountain on Krk, with the peaks of Veli Vrh (541 m above sea level) and Obzova (568 m above sea level). Neighboring places are: Kornić, located above Puntarska draga and 3 km away, Stara Baška south 9 km away, the town of Krk 8 km away and Vrbnik 9 km away. Punat is 32 km away from the Krk Bridge.
Punat has always been a village, due to its focus on primary activities. However, with the development of tourism, the place has changed significantly. Today, the old and the new part of Punta are clearly distinguished. The old part of Punat includes the northern part of the village, to today’s hotel which was once a pasta factory. The newer part of Punta is south of the hotel, and the largest part of this new part of the settlement is called Buka. Between the old and the new part is the autocamp Pila in the forest of the coastal pine, which is why the division of the settlement is so clearly visible.
